“Never had any problems with their products — we’ve won awards at Porsche car shows using Better Bodies parts since the early 1990s.”
“I have known the owners & family of Better Bodies for over 20 years and have used 4–5 different body kits… a 993 RSCS biplane wing that I sold to another lister who was pleased with the fit and quality. I personally have never had any complaints with the quality or fit.”
“One of our local shops uses them all of the time… The shop uses them because their fit and finish is both good and consistent.”
“I got the front lip from Better Bodies Motorsport, still have it on the car… fitment was good.”
“The front lip spoiler and rear diffuser on my 996 C4 — the fit was very good, and a year later they look as good as the day installed.”
“Got GT2 flares from them and they were a perfect fit.”
“Ruf style front valence. Quick shipping, great fit and superb glass quality. I would buy from them again.”
“I used one on my 911. The glass work was average and fit good. I don’t know of any that don’t need a little work.”
“I bought a tail, all glass — it was good. Had to do some work, but nothing like some of the ducktails I’ve gotten here and there.”

Product Details
A GT3-inspired front lip for the 997.1 Carrera. It sharpens the nose, closes up the gap under the factory bumper, and reduces front-end lift at speed — the look of a factory race car without touching the bumper itself.
Molded in flexible polyurethane, not fiberglass. It flexes over driveways, curbs and debris and returns to shape instead of cracking, which is why it survives a daily-driven car.

Fitment Guide
This lip is cut for the standard 997.1 front bumper. That is the only bumper it mounts to — the factory aero and race bumpers have a different lower edge.
Fits
- ✓Porsche 911 997.1 Carrera, 2005–2008, with the standard factory front bumper
Does not fit
- ✗Factory Aerokit I / II cars — different bumper, different lower profile
- ✗997.1 Turbo — wide-body bumper
- ✗997.1 GT3, GT3 RS, GT2 — factory race bumpers
- ✗997.2, 2009–2012 — facelift bumper. Use the 997.2 front lip →
Install & Paint
Mounting
The lip arrives with 3M automotive tape already applied. The tape holds on its own — drilling is optional. Hardware is included if you or your installer prefer mechanical fasteners as well.
Test fit the lip on the car before any paint work, clean the bumper edge so the tape bonds to a dry, wax-free surface, and press the lip firmly along its full length.
Paint
The part ships in raw black and unpainted — scuff, prime and paint it in your factory or custom color. Any body shop can match it to your car; polyurethane takes paint the same way a flexible bumper cover does.
Who should install it
DIY-capable with basic tools and patience. A shop will get the tightest, most even gap, and most owners have it done while the part is being painted.
FAQ
Does it come painted?
No. It arrives in raw black, ready for scuff, prime and paint in your color.
Do I have to drill my bumper?
No. The 3M tape is pre-applied and holds on its own. Hardware is in the box if your installer wants to add fasteners.
How do I know I have the base bumper?
Send us a straight-on photo of your front bumper and we’ll confirm it before you order — call 619-690-5081 or email contact@betterbodiesmotorsport.com.
Will it crack on driveways?
Polyurethane flexes and returns to shape instead of shattering, which is why we mold these in urethane rather than fiberglass. It is still a low part — take driveways at an angle.
Will this fit my 997.2?
No — the 2009–2012 facelift bumper is a different shape. We build a separate lip for it.
When does it ship?
In-stock orders leave our California shop in 24–48 hours. Backordered parts run 3–8 business days before shipping.
